The main reason for the exceptional climate of the Axarquía is a succession of high mountains that separate it from the Altiplano of Antequera and avoids the entry of cold winds from the north. That is why its Mediterranean subtropical climate has led to the establishment of a flourishing agriculture based on avocado, mango or medlar.
The proposal we present departs from the main reservoir of water in the region, La Viñuela reservoir, from among fields of subtropical trees, olive trees, almonds and peach trees it ascends in several stages to the Llanos de Alfarnate and Alfarnatejo, with its imposing pits . Then we will cross the highest point of the whole Great Path of Malaga to finish in Archidona.
Departure for 6 pax and organized groups any day and time of year , subject to availability.
